International Congress is the largest conference organized by AIESEC on a global level. During the ten days of intensive work, Congress participants learn and discuss the world's most important issues in the fields of economy and management. Delegates are going through various training that aims, among other things, to review AIESEC's long-term strategic direction and the direction AIESEC as an organization will take in its work. The Congress will gather more than 500 young people - future top experts from over 80 countries. This year International Congress will take place on a mountain Kopaonik from August 30th to September 8th, 2003 in the hotel "Suncani vrhovi". On the other hand, "preliminary meeting", as well as all central events - including Grand Opening, "Global Village", "Partners Fair" and Formal Dinner - will take place in Belgrade.

AIESEC, as a largest international student organization is aware that the youth today is in a process of a dynamic change and growth, and is therefore willing to help the young students to improve their efficiency and effectiveness though work in our organization. For this reason, International Congress develops leadership, processes of decision-making and planning, and supports life-long learning.

International Congress is a ten-day conference with an educational character. This event provides a learning experience for the delegates in order to prepare them for management, leadership and inter-cultural challenges, through the development of the global AIESEC strategy. As an annual event IC brings together over 500 delegates from over 80 countries as well as the prominent business leaders and members of civil society.

The content of the International Congress is presented using the interactive and entertaining methods. One of the major aspects of this annual event is the tremendous external involvement, which includes presentations, workshops and panel discussions on topics such as the business sector's role in ecosystem sustainability or globalization's effect on the developing nations. International Congress participants value the opportunity to engage in the discussions with the leaders from the business community and learn more about the relevant world issues that they can take back and share with the AIESEC members in their native countries.
